How did you meet...tell us your story .... backgrounds that brought you together:   

We initially bumped into each other in the East Park car park in 2015; we didn’t know each other but he recognised me, introduced himself and we exchanged pleasantries.  He later followed me on Instagram after our chance encounter, but we did not communicate at all for 3 years. One day I liked a few photos on Instagram that he posted; One with Aliko Dangote and the other was him celebrating his distinctions for his Masters. He later liked several of my pictures at once to get my
attention and he reminded me of the time we bumped into each other at Eastpark. He asked for my number
and he called a few times and we had pleasant conversations. A month later, we bumped into each other
again at East Park- this time at Pick n Pay and he said hello. It was National Women’s Day and he decided
to treat me to dinner, to which I said Yes. The rest is history :)

How did he propose: He popped the question on New Year’s 2019, straight after the fire works. He covered
the floor with candles and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so romantic and our
friends and families were there to capture the moment.

What was the theme of your wedding: All white and romantic

What was your wedding budget: ZMW 220K

How many guests did you have: 350

Why did you choose your venue/service providers that you did: We chose Pamodzi because I have
personally worked with Pamodzi on many occasions for events and they are nothing but professional and
experienced
What was the highlight of your reception: The bridal party entrance and our individual entrances. The crowd
was supper supportive

What was the most special memory of the whole wedding day: The vows we made to each other in front
close family and friends. Our mother’s who are single parents raised us to be who we are today.

Advice for future brides: Plan early and budget. There are so many unexpected costs that come as you are
approaching your wedding day. Do not rely on pledges; ensure that you and your fiancée have the funds in
place before deciding on vendors. Do not order your dress online or have someone make you a dress
instead purchase your wedding dress from a store. Trust in God always and have faith that all will be well on
the day. Remember to treat everyone around you with respect at all times.
